About Giving Anonymously
Giving Anonymously is a non-profit organization facilitating generosity between people.
Giving Anonymously began in 2005 with our website up and running in early 2007. We began with a few goals in mind: We wanted to relationally connect people through giving, to make it fun, and in the process protect relationships from feelings of obligation. Giving to others in need can be full of mixed motivations and our hope is to facilitate Pure giving.
Anyone who enjoys putting cash under a friends door or in their mailbox will often times not know if their friend actually got the gift and they cannot hear what it meant to them. So, we came up with an idea to have a messaging line where recipients could call after receiving their gift. When a recipient doesn’t know who gave the gift to them they are even more free to express their gratitude and we capture this through voice files that we email to the donor.
I know and trust the founders of Giving Anonymously. Their hearts are to facilitate giving in such a way that "money" does not hinder friendship. You can rest assured that your money will be given where you designate it - and no one will know the source but you and your maker!

The Passion
Our goal is to enable and encourage you to be your own charity, and for you to give anonymously to those around you in need.
Sure, you could give money to us and expect us to find those in need. But then your neighbor who lost his job and now can't pay the bills or adequately feed his family, will not be helped.
Our Motto: We are not the 'charity' you are! Look around your community, your neighbors, friends and family. Do you see anyone in need? If so, give to them. You can give anonymously. We'll send them a check, and you'll get an email with a voice file of them thanking you. But they won't know who you are! How cool is this!
